Story
The most talented person I know is still getting ready to start.
Talent buys you a head start and a lot of compliments. Neither of those cash.
The people who pass you aren't more gifted. They just kept shipping while you kept refining.
The Code
Code 1 — Prepare for Unreasonable Effort
Code 1 of 7 · Business Brainwash
Unreasonable effort is the entry fee. Everybody wants the outcome; almost nobody signs up for the input.
Out-work, out-learn, out-do. You can never go wrong knowing too much. You will always go wrong knowing too little.
- Out-work everyone. Out-learn everyone.
- Be the smartest in the room — then go find another room.
- Relentlessly ask questions. You deserve the highest and best answer.
Lessons
Four shifts that make this Code real.
Reps produce information
Every shipped attempt tells you something planning can't.
Ship sooner, learn faster, adjust louder.
Perfection is procrastination in a nice outfit
The tenth version teaches more than the first ten drafts.
Set a ship date before you start.
Quantity builds the quality
You don't think your way to good. You rep your way there.
Commit to a number, not a standard, for 90 days.
Your best work is ahead of your worst habits
Talent without volume decays.
Protect the cadence before you protect the polish.
Data
Output beats potential over any window that matters.
Illustrative operator view. Two operators, same starting talent. One ships weekly, one waits for ready. A year later they are not in the same business.
Illustrative framework — not measured performance.
Strategy
Pick a number and defend it
Not "post more." Not "reach out more." A number, a window, and a place you write it down.
The number does something motivation can't: it makes today's decision obvious when you don't feel like it.
Names the resistance that shows up right before the work does.
Choose your weekly number this week — calls, posts, offers, drafts. Write it where you'll see it Monday.
