The Brainwash Report
Privacy
The short version: we ask for a name, an email, and optionally a phone number. We use them to send you the things you asked for. We never sell them.
Draft — pending review by a licensed attorney. This page describes current practice accurately. It is not legal advice, and the wording is not final.
What we collect
- Your name
- So the emails read like they came from a person, not a list.
- Your email address
- To send the weekly Brainwash Report, and event invitations for the event types you selected.
- Your phone number — optional
- Only used for text messages, and only if you separately tick the SMS box. Leaving it blank costs you nothing else.
- Which event types you want
- Online, virtual, or in person. You only hear about the ones you chose.
- Which post you subscribed from
- So we know which writing is worth doing more of. It is not used to build a profile of you.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for your address, your date of birth, or anything about your finances, and we do not buy information about you from anyone else.
How consent works
Email consent and SMS consent are two separate boxes, and neither is ticked for you. Ticking one does not tick the other.
- Email. You get the weekly Report and invitations for the event types you selected. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.
- Text messages. Only if you tick the SMS box. Message and data rates may apply, frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to end them. A phone number given without that box ticked is never texted.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
- We never text a number that did not tick the SMS box.
- We never pre-tick a consent box on your behalf.
- We never share your details with another business to market to you.
Getting your information out
Ask, and we remove it. You can request a copy of what we hold, a correction, or full deletion — including if you are in Brazil or the EU, where that is your right rather than our courtesy. Unsubscribing stops the sending; asking for deletion removes the record.
Write to support@theartofunderwriting.com and say what you want done.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are subscribed, plus a short period afterwards so an unsubscribe is not undone by a later import. After that it goes.
